Sharmeen has been active in activist print media since 1993. She has worked with Prairie Dog Alternative Newspaper Magazine, ThirdSpace, and Upping the Anti: A Journal of Theory and Practice. She is a research assistant with the Media Action Research Group through Lakehead University.
